First, did MI1 EGA or VGA versions support MT-32 music?
Second, I'm playing the EGA version with AdLib music (of course), and there is no music for Stan... Should there be?

You don't need the patch for the VGA version.
Unfortunately, there is no SFX when playing Monkey EGA/VGA with MT-32. That's normal for that game.
Stan's music is only in the CD version as well as the music at the cannibal village and the short cue when Elaine's kidnapped. Also there is no music playing at the jail in floppy versions.
