I clicked About in the ScummVM menu and it had some credits for the wonderful people who were devolving the Tinsel support. Does this mean someday Discworld will be compatible?
but what does it even mean? I mean, the compatibility chart in the site is the compatibility for the SVN version, and it has some games that are "not officially supported" on there, like 'return to zork', so why not Discworld?
I assumed it meant the engines which are disabled (but which may have still been enabled in daily snapshots, at the maintainer's discretion). I can't run the configure script to see what it says at the moment, but from looking at it I believe that's the following engines/games:
Personal Nightmare
Cruise for a Corpse
Igor: Objective Uikokahonia
Lands of Lore
M4/MADS
SAGA 2 games
SCI/SCI32
Tinsel
As to why the Tinsel engine is disabled by default, I'm not sure. I haven't followed its development lately. At one point, there were problems running it on big-endian CPUs, and there may have been some issue with detecting some versions of the game. Possibly a few other things. Of the disabled engines, it's probably among the ones in best shape to be enabled.

Hu? "Return to Zork" *is* officially supported, we had a news item for it and we added it to our compatibility page.
