DS Homebrew UHS Reader?

Something I just realized. It would be very nice and handy if there were a Nintendo DS homebrew application that reads UHS files (Universal Hint System). Does anybody know of one that may be in existence? If not, does anybody know where to find any good information about the UHS file format? Perhaps I can try my hand at programming my own....

You could also look at OpenUHS (http://sourceforge.net/projects/openuhs/), which is written in java.
