I just bought the series this morning. It is very fun, much better than I expected! I hope all the other episodes are as good. Now to decide what i'm going to spend my free episode code on...

Bought and played it this weekend.
I have to retract the negative tone of my post on the first page.

The game is nice and the jokes are funny. The advantages and freedoms of 3D are actually being used (evil hand animation). The resolution issue of mine was fluke of the demo and is not present in the real thing.
Although I still think a point-and-click-to-move system would have been far better and the camera angles are a bit to jerky for my tastes. These issues are minor in the grand scheme of things though.
Can't wait for the 2nd episode.

I don't know how many of you know this is possible, but I've found that it is easiest to use the arrow keys to move, and the shift key to run. The mouse controls feel a bit odd to me.

You ordered it so late and you still got the code? I thought it was a part of the preorder package. Did you get the Steve Purcell custom slipcase and access to private pirate club as well?

As for the code, If you already have Sam & Max, I'd go with Wallace & Gromit. It's a really fun game and you'll lower the cost of the whole season this way. The bundle costs $34,95. If you want to buy a single episode, it's $8,95 [times four, that's $35,80 - Not too great a deal on the bundle if you compare prices]. If you use the code and buy the remaining three episodes separately, it will cost you $26,85 in total.

Other games have better bundle prices, not to mention the ginormous $99 Sam & Max set of everything [except for the first Case File].

I used my code to get Wallace & Gromit since I already had everything else of interest and I had fun with the first episode, so I can recommend it.
