Webpages "Compatibility" and "Datafiles"

Post by SlimG »

After performing a manual diff between theCompatibility page and the Datafiles wikipage, this is the result I came up with:

List of games from the Compatibility page that doesn't seem to exist on the Datafiles wikipage:
  • Bear Stormin'
    Big Thinkers First Grade
    Big Thinkers Kindergarten
    Blue's 123 Time Activities
    Blue's Treasure Hunt
    Putt-Putt & Fatty Bear's Activity Pack
I'm not a codemonkey, so I don't know what files ScummVM requires to get these games working, my guess for these games are:
Bear Stormin':
  • brstorm.brs
    brstorm.he0
    brstorm.he1
Big Thinkers First Grade
  • thinker1.exe
    thinker1.he0
    thinker1.he1
    thinker1.he2
    thinker1.he4
Big Thinkers Kindergarten
  • thinkerk.exe
    thinkerk.he0
    thinkerk.he1
    thinkerk.he2
    thinkerk.he4
Putt-Putt & Fatty Bear's Activity Pack
  • activity.bmp
    activity.hlp
    activity.brs
    activity.c00
    activity.c01
    activity.c02
    activity.c03
    activity.c04
    activity.c05
    activity.c06
    activity.c07
    activity.c08
    activity.c09
    activity.c10
    activity.c11
    activity.c12
    activity.c13
    activity.c14
    activity.c15
    activity.c16
    activity.c17
    activity.c18
    activity.c19
    activity.c20
    activity.c21
    activity.c22
    activity.c23
    activity.c24
    activity.c25
    activity.c26
    activity.c27
    activity.c28
    activity.c29
    activity.c30
    activity.c31
    activity.c32
    activity.c33
    activity.c34
    activity.cr0
    activity.cr1
    activity.cr2
    activity.cr3
    activity.he0
    activity.he1
    activity.he2
    activity.he3
    activity.he4
    activity.pal
    activity.tan
    activity.w32
So if anyone would help me out with the correct Datafiles, or even showing me where in the sourcecode I'll find this info, I'd appreciate it a lot.

List of games from the Datafiles wikipage that doesn't seem to exist on the Compatibility page:
  • The Big Red Adventure
    Operation Stealth
    Personal Nightmare
I can't edit the Compatibility page, so this list is just intended as info for anyone that can edit the Compatibility page

Well Big Red Adventure, Operation Stealth, and Personal Nightmare aren't supported yet, so they shouldn't be on the compatibility page.

I added the required data files, for all these games.

Winnie & Mickey

I'm also missing the datafiles for Mickey's space adventure and Winnie the Pooh and the 100 acre wood. (These two would put the count to 100!)

Can somebody add these two games to the datafile page?

Thx,
René

Shouldn't these games be added to the Compatibility page with a "0" or "low" percent complete value?

No. They're not supported at all in stable versions. And a score of 0 is the same as an entry not being there at all...

The default Compatibility reflects the current SVN.

True, SVN being "in progress". There may be issues that will prevent the game(s) in question from even being playable, thus an entry in that table would be misleading, to say the least. An example that comes to mind are the games using the MADS/M4 engine, which are hardcoded to a big degree, and currently only play bits and pieces with debug commands. These are not suitable for an entry in that table, for example
