Problem with compression in "...No Mouth..."

Post by ScummBoy »

I have a problem with one file - voicess.res, it always show me the same error:

Warning: getWavInfo : No 'RIFF' header
Error: Unable to read WAV!

I was ripped that game from original disc.

Sorry, bad forum.

I can't reproduce that problem myself. Not with the English version of the game at least, which is the only one I have. Is it possible that the file is damaged somehow?

It's looking like this:

CRC32 AB8B9B97
MD5 1C9709C31A27A7C46F470EB9ECD52D87
SHA-1 C76FE813613DCCFEE9F7D6A604097507968EBB5D

It's English. I don't think it's damaged.
Maybe I post it somewhere?

The MD5 sum for my voicess.res is d4da3081a739400d5894fe23aa0b6fbb so it's different from yours. Does anyone have a third data point?

The MD5 checksums need to be from the first 5000 bytes of the files, not the whole files. Are these checksums from the first 5000 bytes?

Nope, from whole voicess.res file. How to do this?

I thought we were trying to establish if the file was damaged or not, not getting ScummVM to recognize it. Checksumming only the first 5000 bytes would be silly in that case, so the one I gave is for the entire file.

The compression tool does MD5 checking too, that's why I asked

Ok, first 5000 bytes MD5 checksums of the voicess.res

That looks to be correct. How big is the file? (in bytes)
