City of Lost Children

Post by azazel_1125 »

Are there any plans for ScummVM to be able to play City of Lost Children (Psygnosis) (1997)

This is beautifully drawn, dark and twisted game based on the French film of the same name (La Cité des enfants perdus) (1995) which is a bit mental also.

I don't know what engine it uses or anything other than the publisher.

Anyone else think it should be included?

If I remember correctly, that game was in 3d, and hence isn't really within ScummVM's scope.

I googled it and found out about it. It is in 3D. It can't be supported by ScummVM but you could ask for it to be supported on Residual,a twin-project of ScummVM specifically for 3D Games.

I'm puzzled as to how something that is 3d was described by OP as 'beautifully drawn'. :?

Thanks Paolo86. I'd never heard of residual looks very interesting. I think I'll go harass them about it.

I never realised COLC was 3D. I thought it was pseudo 3D.

Mataku, sorry maybe drawn was the wrong choice of words but check out these screen shots

I think you'll agree, beautiful.

The graphics of this game are drawn in the same manner as in Grim Fandango and Monkey Island 4, i.e. 3D characters drawn on 2D backgrounds. This is definitely within the scope of Residual and not ScummVM
