Stupid newbiw question about newer games

Post by The Spoony Hou »

Do I have to install the games and then add them in Scummvm, or I should do it without installing?

You should (a) Read "READ BEFORE POST" message. (b) Read ScummVM FAQ.

And sorry if I mispelled "througthoutly".

here: http://www.scummvm.org/documentation.php?view=datafiles
is a list of wich files are needed to play every scummvm supported game.

You just have to go into your game source (maybe game dics or game-cd) and copy the obove listed files in a directory of your choice (use for every game a new folder, ex: for monkes island: c:/games/scummvm_res/monkey1/ for monkey island 2: c:/games/scummvm_res/monkey2/ but you can of course use whatever you want).

then start scummvm and choose "add game..." then go into the directory where you had placed the game files and click on "choose", maybe you have to select your game from a list now but after that your game should be playable.

Thank you ^^.

Question: So, SCUMMVM will only add the game if all these files are in the directory?

I wouldn't like to be playing a game and get an error message because of missing files :p.
Again, sorry for the stupid question. Feel free to ignore it.
