[linux] indy4 fm-towns bug/glitch?

Post by sh0e »

hey there,

i have a problem playing indiana jones 4 - FM-TOWNS.
the indiana jones 4 - CD/DOS version works fine.
because its kinda hard to describe (at least for me)
ive made 3 vids making it pretty obvious.

i tried 0.13.1 and 1.0.0rc1 (as you can see in the vids).
changing the gfx settings doesnt seem to help.
ive tried several.

here's the Hotfile download.

regards.

There's a bug report about that already: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=de ... tid=418820

I think one of the reasons why nobody looked into fixing this yet, is that we have no active developer with a Indy 4 FM-Towns version currently.

Yep, same crap for me, though I remember it worked nice in an old version, though I may be wrong!
Here's some screenshots from my ROKR Z6

It feels bad that you bought a game, and can't 100% enjoy it!

If you donate your copy to the dev team, it will be supported;)

I can donate an image that I'll make of my CD, but I hope it's not illegal!

That kind of offer has been turned down in the past, I'm afraid.

I'm afraid so. It'll have to be an original copy, this is the reason why there is no progress on these games.
An image = piracy.

i guess someone might be more likely to loan than donate their copy?

Actually I would guess that most developers will only spend their free time on fixing bugs for games they own, thus probably only sending them to the developer only for the time they are fixing bugs might be too little of motivation for the developer.

I can loan Russian quests that I'd like to see supported (Sadly I only have 2 licensed working CDs though, others are copies of unworking scratched cds!)
I guess the chance I'll have them back is better then FM-TOWNS quests
