The Larry games use the SCI engine, so yeah, eventually. Most of them semi-work already. Crashing works perfectly. The rest will come in time.

Except for the original version of the first game. That one used AGI, which should already be supported.

(The recent 3D games are, of course, exceptions too.)

Then again the recent 3D "games" doesn't feature Larry Laffer, do they?

When I tried playing Larry 1 ScummVM recognised it as a Sierra AGI game and when I opened it, ScummVM crashed :)

Strange. At least the English DOS version of the game was reported as completable by two different testers during the latest release testing. Perhaps you have some different version, or there's some problem with the data files?

By the way, if it's not an english version, I'm afraid it may not be supported as they are documented as "hacks". see the wiki for details

Presumably "Larry 0", Chuck Benton's "SoftP-- Adventure" (attempting to not be auto-filed by the forum as spam), would also be an exception. But would pointing it out be too pedantic?

There is a Z-code version of this game here - http://mirror.ifarchive.org/if-archive/ ... ftporn.zip

Scummvm-misc (http://scummvm-misc.sourceforge.net/) has a complete scummvm engine called Gargoyle which is interpreter for Infocom Z-code games. So you can play it.

Larry 4 refuses to work with ScummVM (or anything for that matter). I also lost its floppies.

I think the scientists from Xenon have found the floppies.

I have it on very good authority that, unfortunately, Larry 4 will never be supported by ScummVM because Al Lowe doesn't believe in "4-play".
