Return to Zork CD Music-cant get it to work!!

Post by RogerB »

Ive ripped the tracks and labelled them track1.mp3 etc. and placed these files in the same directory as the program files. I dont seem to be getting any music. Is there something else needed? or something else to turn on?
Im running windows XP.

Thanks

Just a wild guess, but if you've got 'Hide file extensions' turned on in windows, you can't actually see the real extension and hence the filenames would be Track1.mp3.mp3.

I checked that files only have one extension. What other settings might I need to turn on etc for sound and Midi etc.

How far into the game did you play? I think only some of the music is audio tracks, the rest is still MIDI. I could be wrong about that though, I've hardly played it myself.

On a related note, has support for leading zeros in track numbers/names been added? Noticed it got added into the NDS port at least, so wondered if it was applicable to all other versions also.

I thought that happened more than 2.5 years ago.
