How do I get full screen to fit my new monitor?

Post by akuma634 »

I got a new monitor that doubles as a 1080p HDTV and everything is good but I can't get Scummvm to properly go into full screen. My problem is that lower half of the screen is black and the rest is going off my monitor so the highest I can see is where it says Add Game. Windowed mode is ok but it isn't as enjoyable playing the game in this dinky little window on this big screen. Is there a way to fix this?

My monitor at home doubles as a 1080p HDTV as well. However I don't have this problem. To me it sounds like a problem with your monitor's handling of the resolution that ScummVM is in.

One thing you could try is using your monitor's internal settings. (If it has some) You would do this by clicking one of the buttons on the monitor. In there there may be settings to manually move the screen horizontally and vertically.

By doing this it will likely only make the changes for the resolution that ScummVM uses, so it shouldn't affect anything else.
