Nintendo DS Port?

Nintendo DS Port?
Hello guys!
It is really great that you added so many ports with 0.80 but is it possible that you add a Nintendo DS port in the (rear) future?
That would be really fantastic especially because of the stick you have.

The new version has been released and it supports the Supercard and M3 reading off the CF card, which basically means the games can be as large as you want. [NOTE: Full Throttle does not currently run on ScummVM DS.]

I beg to differ. The M3 supports FAT32 and is much more sturdy in its construction in comparison with the Supercard. It also eats up much less battery life. The only con is, naturally, it's price tag.don't buy a m3, its shit. buy a supercard and a superpass.
How-to play scummvm games on anDS
This is probably already answered in a FAQ or something similar but I haven't found a clear answer here or otherwise on the net.
My question is:
What to do to play a SCUMMVM game on a Nintendo DS?
As I understand I need to do the following
1. Have a SCUMMVM compatible game, such as BASS downloaded from the SCUMMVM site.
2. A Nintendo DS (obviously).
3. A PASSME, such as M3 Passkey (http://www.flashlinker-shop.com/product ... cts_id=344)
4. A Flash Cart, such as M3 CF (http://www.flashlinker-shop.com/product ... cts_id=327) or Supercard-CF (http://www.flashlinker-shop.com/product ... ucts_id=37)
5. A CF Card Reader/Writer connected to the computer
6. A Nintendo DS game
So if I get it right I need to bypass the NDS security by using the PASSME with a legally purchased NDS game (here I can recommend Another Code: Two Memories). Once that is done I can start from the flash cart, using a CF card. Before that I have copied the SCUMMVM emulator and the game/games I'd like to play to the CF card from my computer.
Correct?
Another question BTW. I have tried BASS and Flight of Amazon Queen on the Windows version of SCUMMVM.
I also have PC versions of some games, such as Sam'Max on CD. Are these playable directly on SCUMMVM ? I guess I could test it on the PC version of SCUMMVM, so my question is actually - would these games be playable on SCUMMVM DS directly of the CD or do I have to do something?

Re: How-to play scummvm games on anDS
Actually things have moved on quite a bit in terms of getting a DS or DS Lite to play gmaes or run media from a flash cart.clatten wrote:As I understand I need to do the following

You now need:
1. DS or DS Lite
2. DATEL Media Launcher / SUPERKEY / MK4-Key PassKey
3. SUPERCARD Mini SD version / M3 Perfect MiniSD
4. Flash mini SD card up to 2Gb size.
Simply insert your SUPERKEY or DATEL Media Launcher into SLOT 1 and your M3 or SUPERCARD into teh GBA slot and turn it on.
Wait for the boot sequence to finish and select your game, movie, MP3 or homebrew from the list shown in teh bottom touch screen.
PLAY!
NOTE:
There is no need to flash your DS's firmware to use these new SUPERKEY's etc anylonger therefoe you will no longer invalidate your DS's warranty.
It all depends on whether or not you have enough space on your memory card. For example the largest card is 2Gb.glokidd wrote:awsome. i was planning to flash my old ds but now i dont have to, yay
just wondereing, what games are compatable, could i play full throttle, the dig, or possibly even COMI ?
Unfortuneatly, the games you mention such as Full Throttle, COMI and the Dig require huge amounts of space.
Therefore it maybe necessary to put one game on several cards in order to play them fully.
Currently, the DS port isnt stable enough to play ANY SCUMMVM game currently as its still fairly in its infantcy, but this is only going to be improved over the coming months.
