From what I understand, TeenAgent is already fairly playable with the development version of ScummVM, and there's a Sanitarium engine which is not yet part of ScummVM. I have no idea how far it has progressed. Of course, there's no guarantee that in-progress engines will ever be finished, or even usable, but both of them seem to be actively worked on at the moment.
Re: Support for games
I suggested Ace Ventura once. It would certainly be a good addition to ScummVM.Denver wrote:Ace Ventura (http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/ace-ventura)
The truth is that support wont be added for any new game unless someone is found who is very dedicated to making it happen. They would probably have to spend years studying the original game's code and creating the engine.
As said above, assuming all goes to plan, you are in luck with Sanitarium and Teen Agent. You can even play some of Teen Agent already if you download a SVN build of ScummVM.

...some day it will become common for adventure game developer to release their source for free after some time resp. donate it to ScummVM, so the chance of them games becoming even more spread around the world of adventure lovers will rise exponentially...
...of course with those developers keeping the games on the shelves...
...it will become reality when i manage to get rid of that pink squirrels in my head...

(Way off topic, except in the Holmsian sense: but has anybody except me noticed that the Baker Street sign-to-traffic pan early in the Sherlock Holmes movie is a close copy of the opening titles of the Grenada TV series? If only Jeremy Brett wasn't so dead.)
