How to translate an old game...

Hello, All!
Does anybody know how to translate an old game (e.g. "The Day Of Tentacle") from it's original english to another language ? What program (programs) does manage to capture texts, graphics from the resource files of such games and replace them ?

That entirely depends on what game you want to translate.

i've been surfing around, and it seems that, despite what you'd think; there is no easy way to do this. there is no program that'll let you do it painless, you'd just have to do it manually.
