ScummVM on 2.1

Post by gabbadude »

Hey all,

I received my HTC desire and I love the phone. However, I have been doing some research and found a few pages that say that ScummVM doesnt run on Android 2.x.

But then I find other forums that say that they successfully run the VM on their 2.1 VM platform.

What gves? Does the VM work on Android 2.1 or not?? If so, the imba! I want to start downloading games asap. Please can someone confirm?

Thanks in advance

I thought my first post stated I did search and found conflicting statements.

But I suppose you didn't read that :?

My question was straight forward:
What gves? Does the VM work on Android 2.1 or not??

Official release does not. There are unofficial builds which do but they are not supported (it means use them at your own risk, we will not be able to provide any help if anything goes unexpected). I think that by next release there will be official 2.x support. Also currently we're working on adding Android builds to the buildbot so it may happen that 2.x will be supported by them before the release.

Thank you for your post Eugene :)

Have you got any ideas when the next build is due for release? 2months? 1month? a year?

any ideas would be helpful :)

We haven't started the release cycle yet. Perhaps we will in several weeks. Usual time for the release is end of August, but this year it could be a bit delayed.
