For instance the CD version of Gabriel Knight. The icons and character portraits have all been redrawn in higher resolution.
Game: The Castle of Dr. Brain
Game Version: VGA/ENGLISH, v. 1.000
ScummVM Version: 1.2.0svn51462
Operating System: Win 7 Proffesional x64
I have completed the game on Expert level. Didn't experience this problem:
Also there are problems with restoring a savegame - some sprites don't appear on screen (for example when you restore game in a jigsaw room, the jigsaw box is not displayed), but I believe someone reported this before in respect to some other SCI game.

However I came across situation, that causes Scummvm to crash - I filed bug report: 3039656The_cranky_hermit wrote: I attempted a playthrough on expert. This crashed on me at the robot jokes puzzle, submitted 3039036. I don't know of any workaround, so this is uncompleteable for me.

Game: The Castle of Dr. Brain
Game Version: DOS/ENGLISH 1.000
ScummVM Version: ScummVM 1.2.0svn51745 (Aug 5 2010 10:19:46)
Operating System: Win 7 Ultimate x64
I played it thru on Novice, Standard and Expert. Didnt come across any crashes, just some timing issues, like the memory game at the beginning and time glasses in the Time room. No crashes in the robot room what so ever.
Edit: Retested with another SVN build, same result.

I don't know if this means anything to you guys, but my King's Quest II SCI0 remake does not work in ScummVM. It won't even launch. It says it cannot find any data files. It detects the game as KQ2-1 and names it (EGA/DOS/English). I don't really know what to do about it. It used to work a long time ago. I don't want to publicly release the current build right now but I can give a private link.
However, the game isn't even close to finished yet anyway. Obviously unfinished games aren't covered in the scope of SCI pre-testing at this point. But I wonder if there's any particular reason why it won't even launch.

It's on there somewhere. Go back a few pages of this topic to find how to find the revision on that site. Without the revision number, I won't add it to the page.Zeith wrote:Dont know what revision number it is as scummvm doesnt say, I downloaded it from http://helllabs.org/scummvm/ as the Win32 ScummVM Daily Snapshot from the downloads page kept crashing when I tried to save in any SCI-game.
I'll replay them with 1.2.0svn51745 (Aug 5 2010 10:19:46).clone2727 wrote:It's on there somewhere. Go back a few pages of this topic to find how to find the revision on that site. I've tried to look for a revision number, but the build from helllabs.org doesnt include one, really :/
It just says ScummVM 1.2.0svn (Aug 4 2010 08:11:51) when I do scummvm.exe -v
I did say you could look it up...Zeith wrote:I'll replay them with 1.2.0svn51745 (Aug 5 2010 10:19:46).

http://helllabs.org/scummvm/i586-linux/ ... ripped.bz2
Sorry for the trouble if this was unusable. So, should I build directly from SVN then?
