Any chance for that addition...?

Post by BananaJones »

A speedup/radical frame skip button or option... That's something that many emulators have (usually activated by holding space by default), and it's a wonderful remedy for annoying, unskippable parts, intros, characters waaaaaaaaalkiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnng through the screen for 50 seconds, etc.

Why ask for a feature, that's already implemented? :D

Press Ctrl-f during game  8)

Ah yeah, any chance for more comprehensive posting headlines?

That doesn't work with all the game engines, though. However, in most games you can skip the intro - and in some even in-game scenes - by pressing the Escape key. And in at least some, you can skip lines of speech. (In general, ScummVM behaves like the original, so the manual for the game might provide further information.)

Yeeesss... but Ctrl-F doesn't work with all titles, it doesn't seem to speed up certain sections, and the speedup is locked rather than adjustable (say, from 150 to 800%, the way most emulators have).

You may also use Ctrl-G, that's even faster than Ctrl-F.
