Why does the PSP subversion build hate King Graham

For a couple builds now KQ5 has not worked in awhile. A Few builds back it had no problem running.

What happened?

Apparently a regression. Test if it runs on your desktop computer and if not, please file a bugreport.

Sorry about the long reply... I'll do that.

edit

All right, downloaded the win32 version...

The game ran, but it crashed at the part where you go into the bakery to buy the pie. The lady left... and continued to allow me to pick some options other than walk.

Also, save game didn't seem to work at all. It showed that it saved something...just doesn't load.

For the PSP

I have tried the following subversions...

psp-trunk-r52314
psp-trunk-r52404
psp-trunk-r52448
psp-trunk-r52462
psp-trunk-r52511 ( as of right now )

Unfortunately, I forgot which version ran kq5 :cry:

Thanks for letting me know. The problem was a bug in the SCI engine. It should be fixed in tonight's build.

Just tried psp-trunk-r52538

As with the other ones I listed... Kq5 still does not start.

The other games I have, start with no problem. List as follows...

King's Quest 6
Space Quest 4

both of them with all the subversion builds I listed have no problem running, Kq5 is the only one that starts no more.

edit

I downloaded the win32 version again... and I ran into a bug in the haunted forest. Right in front of the witch's house, the game froze.

The subversion build only gets built at 4am. Try the latest one again.

all right... here is my report.


kq5 is working again, after going through the whole game one try. did not run into a single bug.

a thing to note is, it seems some of the scripted sequences seem slower than others. other than that, nothing game breaking.
