I don't have a PC but can copy the files from one to see if there is any difference. Given that I've researched the different file systems and found tools to copy with and without resource forks, I don't think I'll see a difference in the "premature end" problem.
It is intersting that the Freddi Fish 1 demo I have also gives the premature end message on freddemo.he3 file. The 3rd file in both these games is much smaller than the other files.
This may very well be the case. If it was a problem on my end, I'm sure I could have solved it by now. I am tech savvy and accustomed to working computer support/server building/etc. in a mixed (PC/Mac/*nix) environment. Will try to borrow some time on a PC today or tomorrow to nail the case shut.
If anyone has any other tests they want me to run on this issue, please let me know. I am building an OS 7 machine now to see if the game works well by itself in its desired OS.
I built a System 7.5.3 on a Jaz disk and The Jungle game works fine. So, I guess I need to round up all the errors on the games/demos I have available and do a bug report.
I do recommend including operating OS in bug reports and compatibility reports.
With a 3.5 year old, I'll probably be here frequently to figure out games as he grows
