Error: "ScummVM couldn't open the specified directory!&

Hi,

I just downloaded the latest ScummVM (v1.1.148890) and copied the "Day of the Tentacle Data" file to my Desktop. When I click Add Game and choose the file, I get the error message "ScummVM couldn't open the specified directory!"

I tried moving the file somewhere else and trying it, but it doesn't seem to work. I tried adding the file right from the CD ROM and that doesn't work either.

I tried granting read and right permissions of the data file to everyone. Nope.

One weird thing - the data file's icon looks like a lego peice with a Microsoft Office logo on it.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried pointing ScummVM to the directory te file is in, instead of the file itself?
If your game file is "/Somedir/blabla/Day of the Tentacle Data" then you should be pointing ScummVM to "/Somedir/blabla/"

I've got the same problem, but I already tried to click only on var/mobile....it's not working...
Most games work, exp. Dott, SamnMax, The Dig but not for
Broken sword one or two, Loom (FM Towns) Any Kyrandia, Full Throttle, Monkey Island 2 (VGA PC) I've got the mac version on my iphone...Any suggestions???? Help ;-(
