The Dig "patches"

Post by recover »

For The Dig, do you need the "patches" described on lucasarts homepage?

I finished The Dig last week without any bugs.

that "patch" seems to be a savegame where the problematic area is passed; since ScummVM doesn't support the original Lucasarts savegames it's not needed (indeed it's pretty much uselesss :-) )

Yea, you're right, of course. :)
But if that bug after the rat trap cutscene is present in the original The Dig game, isn't there a chance it's also present in ScummVM?
I can't say I understand how you people have made ScummVM "just work" so I'm just guessing here... =)

ScummVM includes some fixes for bugs in games (like in Beneath a Steel Sky, text typos are fixed, there's a workaround in a Broken Sword game; compress_queen includes code to patch the datafile with external [fixed?] script files); if that is the case with The Dig I cannot say.
