AGDI Unveils King's Quest III Redux!

Post by MusicallyInspired »

After 8 years the secret is out. Play it this February! I've put a huge percentage of the last decade of my life into this game's soundtrack and I hope you'll all enjoy it when it's ready!

King's Quest III Redux

Check the AGDI forums for more information on the project.

Unbelievable. Now I have something other than the next BTTF episode to look forward to this February. :D

didn't these guys swear off any more remakes, stating they would only be making original games under the himalayasoft name now? Glad they had one more in them though, no complaints there.

This is going to make the Infamous Adventures remake look fairly crappy.

I do wish however AGDI would have done KQ4. The people behind that remake have been puttering around for years with nothing to show for it (and the latest screen shot they have posted doesn't look much better then the original game...).

edit: I was thinking about it, and honestly - if I could pick ANY KQ game to be remade, or in this case *demade*, it would be KQ8. I'd love to see KQ8 in the SCI pixel style of the KQ6 generation. Hell, I'd finally play it if that was the case.

Not really. It was a clever play on words. They said they would not start anymore remakes ;). KQ3Redux had started long before those questions.

And yeah, KQ4 would be nice to have the 4 big ones in the style of the later two, but when you do 4 games already with high-class quality without compensation it gets tiring. Also ActiVision won't allow AGDI to do any more anyway.

There was once something started but as the way of the web, it looks to have died: http://www.kq8project.9f.com/cgi-bin/blog

Thanks a lot! KQ3 is a great game and with a new interface and nicer graphics it might be even greater.

Now if only it was playable in ScummVM (because auf the 2xSAI scaler)!

In the settings there is 2xHQ and 3xHQ scalers available.
I realize they're not the same as 2xSAI but it's better than pixel doubling.

The "settings"? I guess I have to go poke inside the .app to change anything on the OS X.

The windows version has a launcher with a settings button in it. The OS X one doesn't?
