Don't know if this is a bug or I am just clumsy.
Browsing trough the forum I figured out I needed all gamedata files from the different language directories to be able to use the different language versions. (update your gamedata doc file please)
English version works.
French version works (subtitled), but with English speech (ScummVM detects French version)
German version works (subtitled, but with English speech (ScummVM detects German version)
I extracted the files from within the ENG/1 , FRE/1 and GER/1 directory. What am I doing wrong?
Using Dosbox I can select the languags. Although I am not sure wheter the French version has English speech etc. I haven't set Dosbox up yet due to a recent reinstall.
Using snapshot from 5-2-2011
I have the same problem with Kyrandia Book Three Malcolm's Revenge. It's the English, German and Franch version aswell. I used all the gamedata files from the Malcolm directory, but no way to select the language in ScummVM
Kyrandia book one language problems, bug?

You can only setup the language of Kyrandia 1 in ScummVM by using either the files from ENG/1 (or ENG/2) for English, GER/1 (or GER/2) for German, FRE/1 (or FRE/2) for French. That is similar to what you have when first installing the game in DOS. A language reconfiguration after you added the game to ScummVM is not possible, apart by adding another game entry to ScummVM from the files from another language subdir (but you can't use the same savegames in this case, since you will end up with a different targetid in ScummVM).MrX_Cuci wrote:Don't know if this is a bug or I am just clumsy.

You can either select the language the first time you add the game to ScummVM or using the ingame options menu of Kyrandia 3 like in the original. Currently it is not possible to use the ScummVM options menu for changing the game language.MrX_Cuci wrote:I have the same problem with Kyrandia Book Three Malcolm's Revenge. I must have overlooked this. I readded it and worked. EDIT speech is always English, subtitles are correct for all versions.LordHoto wrote:You can either select the language the first time you add the game to ScummVM.

All Kyrandia (1-3) CD versions only feature English voice overs, so I would rather worry when you would get voices apart English ones.MrX_Cuci wrote: I have done this the way you said.
