I can't help but think you want this laid on a plate all ready to go. You want somebody to come in, set up a PC and fire up the game for you.
Referring to your last post. If you don't have an item needed for something do you give up straight away?
Example - you need a book to do a school course or something. The course sounds good and you want to do it. Do you instantly think 'well I don't have that book, or the money for it, so I can't do this course'.
The other posters have been helping you out. If you don't understand what they are saying then start googling for answers. If you still don't understand then ask here.
Not knowing how to set up a virtual PC or DOSbox with Windows 3.1 is no problem. You can learn. We all start somewhere. What annoys people is when it seems you don't want to do, or think or learn, anything yourself.

Hi Wonderbob.

Shivers was excellent!

I have a silver platter for Shivers, Shivers 2 and Lighthouse.

Shivers ran on Windows 3.11, which I have a .VHD (Virtual PC Hard-drive Image) with Shivers, Shivers 2 and Lighthouse installed. All the video, sound and mouse drivers are already installed.

Works perfectly on Windows 7 and uses much, much less resources than Windows XP because it runs on Windows 3.11.

E-mail me at MOD: REMOVED if you still need it.

Am I allowed to post links here?

bradsmithsite, you do realize distributing such images would be illegal, right?

I'm sorry, I'll head out to my time machine and go back to when Windows 3.11 and Shivers (DOS game) was released so I can buy it.

Sorry for trying to assist someone on the forum.

Question: How do I load ScummVM games onto the Nintendo Wii without copying them?

This is not the kind of help anybody wants, as this would only hurt this project. We do not condone piracy. As for the "time machine": copyright laws are strict. Please refer to our copyright FAQ:
http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Copyright_FAQ
Abandonware is not a proper legal concept. Copyright of computer software seems to end 95 years after publication (at least in the USA). Feel free to check back in around 2080 if you're allowed to download the games then.
More info can be found in that page.

This is why pages like gog.com and dotemu.com exist in the first place...

"ScummVM is a program which allows you to run certain classic graphical point-and-click adventure games, provided you already have their data files. The clever part about this: ScummVM just replaces the executables shipped with the games, allowing you to play them on systems for which they were never designed!"

Copying data (i.e. the game) onto a different system is illegal.
