I would like to know if the Spanish version of the second Kyrandia game is actually supported. I tried to add the game by the usual procedure but neither the last stable release nor the development build recognise it. I assume it is not supported, but I would like to know for sure.
It's the Spanish floppy version the one I'm talking about, which is the only official Spanish version of the game since the CD-ROM version was never released in Spanish (only in English, French and German), although there is a fan-patch which allows using the floppy translation onto it, in the same way there is one for the first Kyrandia game. In this particular case, the Spanish floppy version is indeed supported since long ago, but the fan-patched CD-ROM version with the Spanish floppy translation isn't.
Since you actually granted support to the fan/non-official Spanish version of the third Kyrandia game, Malcolm's Revenge, which was never ever officially released in Spanish unlike their predecessors (thank you, Westwood), I though you might try to look onto this matter, even if just regarding the official Spanish floppy version of Hand of Fate and not the fan-patched CD-ROM version, although this (and the first game's) would be fine too.
P.S.: The Spanish version of Lands of Lore doesn't seem to be supported either, even if the ScummVM support of Lands of Lore isn't implemented aside from development builds. A similar case to The Hand of Fate I would say.
Spanish version of Kyrandia: The Hand of Fate

Yes both the spanish HoF floppy version and the spanish LoL version aren't supported, since no developer working on Kyra has them. Till either _athrxx or I are getting my hands on a copy I doubt there'll be much chances of it being supported.Wesker wrote:I would like to know if the Spanish version of the second Kyrandia game is actually supported. Someone would have to readapt that fan-translation to a proper patch application like it was done with the Kyrandia 3: Malcolm's Revenge one in order to have full support considered by the ScummVM team. In its current "paste all these files in the game folder" state, I'm afraid it won't be added.evilvega wrote:but then it's possible to add support to kyrandia 2 english cd version with the spanish patch? i really enjoyed this game in the past, but i've really interested to replay this game, with this compatibility if it's possible or have any chances to do it.
Besides, that CD-ROM version fan-translation wasn't fully completed to begin with. The menu, interface and inventory objects texts remained untranslated, unlike it was in the official Spanish floppy version.
