Does Kings Quest 5 (Windows version) run with ScummVM?

Yes. The Windows music (which is a bit different) only works in the latest unstable version, though

Which operating system are you using?
Did you choose the Windows version when you added the game?
Did you choose a General MIDI device in ScummVM's sound options? (the Windows version of KQ5 supported GM music only)
Is the music volume high enough?

I use Windows XP and I chosed the Windows version when I added the game. I chosed Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth (Windows Midi) and then Sound Max Wavetable Synth (Windows Midi)...!
And my volume is high enough. I have got the same problem when I play the game without ScummVM.

(PS:...and I don't want to play the Dos Version!!!)

Just to rule out the simple explanation... Back when I tried ScummVM under Windows XP, there was a separate mixer setting in Windows for MIDI volume. (I've forgotten what it was called; possibly something with "Synth".) Did you mean that you already tried that one?

(I can't find that particular volume setting in Windows Vista, and I haven't run ScummVM under Windows for a couple of years. That's why I'm being so vague.)

"Microsoft GS Wavetable SW Synth (Windows Midi)" and "Sound Max Wavetable Synth (Windows Midi)" are the sound cards I can choose or what do you mean now.

He's talking about in Windows' Volume Control window. Should be in you system tray, double click it. If it is not in your system tray go to your control panel and open "Sounds and Audio Devices" and check the box that says "Place volume icon in taskbar." If nothing that says "MIDI" or "Synth" shows up in your volume control window go to Options-->Properties in the file menu and look through the list of checkboxes to see if something like it (MIDI, Synth, etc) is on the list and if it's not checked then check it. Make sure this volume level is high and not muted.

I thought the MIDI gain setting only affected the FluidSynth music driver. (I can't check at the moment.)
