ScummVM doesn't switch to Classic theme

Post by mistamontiel »

Salutations.

Windows 7 here.

I go in ScummVM Compatibility, and I check the last 3 checkboxes. For everything else, it disables the Aero theme and goes into Classic mode. & so it focuses in fullscreen.

ScummVM never uses the Classic theme..fullscreen focus only works when it wants to.

Um... compatibility? You don't need to change the compatibility settings... the classic theme is set within ScummVM itself, not Windows

The Windows Aero theme. Other apps I use Compatibility, so that when it runs, it disables Aero and uses Windows Classic.

ScummVM does not. If I try to fullscreen in Windows Aero, it keeps minimizing and never focuses

I "think" he/she means that ScummVM is started in "Compatibility" mode under Windows 7???

But that is not needed...
ScummVM is a highly optimized, modern piece of code which makes use of every bells and whistles, hardware power and RAM and all the fancy extra stuff that is bloating up Windows...

and as such can be started by simply double-clicking it ;-)

Listen.

It works.

But does it fullscreen ? No.

You can set an executable in Compatibility tab to switch to Windows Basic theme. If you try to fullscreen in Aero theme, it does not focus and keeps minimizing.

ScummVM should work fine in fullscreen without any compatibility settings. Just make sure you do not have any compatibility settings activated. Also are you by chance having firefox running in the background, while you try to enter fullscreen in ScummVM? There has been some reports of similar behavior on our bug tracker: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=de ... tid=418820
and I myself had the same problem with WarCraft 3 once, closing firefox solved it for me.

Ahh..perhaps it was Firefox causing fullscreen to not work. Worked out since closing out.

Thanks much & cheers !!
