This is a great way to enjoy the latest Munt development with ScummVM. However, with Win 64-bit users, it's tricky trying to get those mt32 drivers working properly (I've had no luck whatsoever). I think they're working on a 64-bit installer from what I've read on the forums -- in any case, I'll just wait patiently and continue to use my real Roland MT-32 with ScummVM.I just wanted to say that it's possible to enjoy the latest Munt in ScummVM already, using the mt32emu application (available here: https://github.com/sergm/munt_devel/downloads) and MIDI Yoke. I have XP and it works great!
Here it is, based on the 2011/04/28 build:circletheory wrote:This is a great way to enjoy the latest Munt development with ScummVM. I've also checked the newest Munt through @ykhwong's DosBox compilation and it sounds soft and amazing. Perhaps there's really hope for those who never (and ever will) owns Roland MIDI devices.
@MusicallyInspired: Shouldn't you let others have the chance to own it? I know you have at least three, watched from your SQ2 remake demo at utube.
(PS: you have quite gifted talents there. )

Well only if you live in the US. At least IIRC that's the only part in the world where you are allowed to have the ROMs without owning the device (due to some shortage from Roland's side on the copyright stuff), otherwise you still need a real device to dump them, since they are still required for the emu AFAIK.BobbinT wrote:I've also checked the newest Munt through @ykhwong's DosBox compilation and it sounds soft and amazing. Wow that's great - works on Windows 7 x64! Is the mt32emu.dll a special 64 bit compile? If I try to replace it with a more recet build from the munt devel page it won't work...Collector wrote:Here it is, based on the 2011/04/28 build:

Did you get it from here:

I just tried replacing the DLL with sergm's latest and it worked.

Whenever I replace the dll in sysWOW64 with the most recent dll (from 06.10.) downloaded from munt devel, I get an error message saying "Can't open synth".Collector wrote:Did you get it from here:

Are you sure that you have replaced the version in sysWOW64 and not just in system32? On x64 only the former is the one in use...
