Or apply a small update and on the official post inform it?

I translate The Legend of Kyrandia on Russian. Translation completed by 75%.
The game runs on ScummVM.

But there are three problems: KYRANDIA.WSA, GEMCUT.EMC and kyra.dat.

kyra.dat: I don't know...

This is a string table editor, incompatible with ScummVM.
You have to write to the same offsets.

I think I didn't express myself clearly enough: Changes like these (even when you use a VQA movie, which *might* be the same format as Kyra3 supports, depending on the VQA version) will not be supported. If you want to translate any movies and/or graphics files you'll need to create WSA and/or CPS files. Yeah that's to be expected since it doesn't know your modified version. I don't know if the keyboard shortcut will work with the translated strings.
So in your case you can indeed use (S/N) but you need to also add 'S' at the end of the string (it will not be displayed but it tells ScummVM 'S' means 'Yes').#. I18N: You may specify 'Yes' symbol at the end of the line, like this:
