Speech issues with some games

I can't get any speech to play in Touché: The Fifth Musketeer or Discworld 1 on my PSP. They run fine on my PC copy of ScummVM and I copied the folders directly over to the PSP version but still no voices on the console. I tried messing around with the game options (forced Voice only, Voice + Subs only and raised the speech volume to max) but no joy. The speech works fine in another game, Simon the Sorcerer, so I do not know what is going on.

I'm using the latest stable PSP release of ScummVM on a 1000 series PSP (the Fat) using the 6.20 PRO-B9 firmware.

Any help would be appreciated.
