Hi,
had fate running fine with speech for years. Recently I tried to play it and had to add it in ScummVM again since for some reason he forgot all configurations. Possible the config was lost in a move to a newer Mac, after all its been a while and Scumm was on a 0.x version number.
Here is the thing:
Music works, but no speech or other sound. ScummVM identifies the installation as English/Dos. Does anyone know what Sound/Midi/MT32 settings are required to run Fate with sound and speech?

English/DOS is the floppy release, which doesn't feature and voices. Apart from that you might want to try setting the Sound driver to AdLib.Helge wrote:Hi,

That means he is identifying the version wrong. Odd. Or wait...
Ah my bad. I was using the full screen fixed version that was compiled by someone here on forum. That one won't play the sound. The official build works, aside from full screen support.
Fate saved, pehwww. My new Mac Mini does not even have a CDRom, so I would be in trouble for reinstalling.
Edit: The nightlybuild works full screen and with sound. Even the midi tracks are played by quicktimes synth.
Guess I am in for beer, pizza and Indy this weekend.
