Cannot choose language in The Last Express

Post by woodoste »

Hi :-)
I'm going crazy trying to change language in The Last Express, it runs only in english (I tried to force language in ScummVM settings too).
I tried on last official build for PC and Wii and on last nightly builds.

Cheers

The game is not supported and the engine is incomplete.

Is there even a way to change the language in the original game?

You cannot change the language, you will have to use a different localized version. If you get English dialogs for the main protagonist and characters, then it means you have the english/us version.

The French version will have those characters speaking French and the same for most localized versions. Also note that a lot of dialog is spoken in each character native language (with subtitles).

And as sev said the game is not supported and you won't be able to go very far (1/4 through chapter 1 with tons of breaking bugs).

I'd imagine the game box/disks would be unambiguous about whether it is French or English.
I understand UK vs US English but a French version of the game would have all-French packaging no?
