I think it would be a good idea to keep an official list of compatible games for sale at GOG, maybe even integrate it into the compatibility chart. I think being able to see all games for purchase along with their "% compled status" in one spot would encourage more purchases than simply having a "buy supported games" affiliate link.
A few lists have been made; here is an example

Also, is the project an affiliate of any other DRM free sites, like DotEmu?

Re: List of Scummvm Games from GOG
We have a page on the wiki, where we list where to buy supported games: http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Where ... _the_games It is linked from http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Categ ... rted_Games for example.lazylazyjoe wrote:I think it would be a good idea to keep an official list of compatible games for sale at GOG, maybe even integrate it into the compatibility chart. It also seems the page you link seems to contain games like Gabriel Knight, which are not yet supported. That seems very confusing to me. Personally I would suggest not to have such games in a list of ScummVM supported games. But then again it's not official list, so we are not to blame if users get the wrong idea from it.
The "% completed status" is a really bad idea technically, it's usually hard to measure nor any useful to the user.

I probably should have dug a little deeper before my post, huh? Honestly, I never really gave the wiki a good look. Looks like a lot of work has been done with it.
I always looked at http://www.scummvm.org/compatibility/ for the list of compatible games and their "% completed status" since it's linked from the main site. I thought that would have been a good place for listings to buy each game before I realized that already exists in the wiki.
As for the link I provided, I just chose one at random from the Gog site. A few others have made similar lists there too.

The % numbers on the compatibility page are not a "% completed status". In fact there's informal rules, that no game which is purely based on reverse engineering can get rated higher than 95% for example, games based on original sources might hit up to 98%. Thus you should think of them as a non-comparable rating people give to the games, at least I am not aware of any other rules for the numbers than the above mentioned.lazylazyjoe wrote:I always looked at http://www.scummvm.org/compatibility/ for the list of compatible games and their "% completed status" since it's linked from the main site. That makes perfect sense. It's darn near impossible to tell if every possible situation in a game is computed/rendered in 100% perfection. Debugging/testing is never a completely done thing. Some bugs could be so minor that they are virtually imperceptible, or be so rare/hard to produce that they're not discovered for years after a release. I would even guess that there few cases where Scummvm runs the game more accurately than the original .exe
Im sure that no company, commercial or otherwise, ever gets to a point that a program is 100% complete.

The GOGMix linked in the first post was made by me. I intentionally included games that are not (yet) supported, but are (from what I could tell) being worked on (in this case, if possible, I linked to threads/blogs where progress on these games is reported).
I agree that the list was misleading and that is not my intention. I tried to make it a little clearer which games are not compatible with current ScummVM yet by adding a big "WARNING" to those games, but I would still like to keep these entries because I hold the feeble hope that it might lead to people to lend their support to these games.

The following GOGMix is also by me and only includes GOG games that are already using ScummVM on release by GOG (a much shorter list, unfortunately. But I hope that Lucas Arts will join GOG sometime this year, oh and the upcoming 7th Guest release will probably use ScummVM, no?):
