It would be interesting to test recent bugfixes, but I depend on the buildbot version being executable without any input from me

No, the buildbot versions (should) run "off-the-shelf". You just shouldn't mix the release version and the buildbot version as they are using different supplemental files (such as translation.dat & the skins). I'd recommend to create a seperate "ScummVM Nightly" directory on your device, where you put the buildbot version.

In fact, the buildbot version was created exactly for this purpose: to test recent bugfixes
