The Sega CD version seems to work great with the Official 0.8.0 release, but how do you select conversation choices? When talking to other characters, the cursor disappears and you cannot choose a reply. (Pressing the "A" button always selects the top choice)

"Dialogue choices in the SegaCD version can be selected with 6 (up) 7 (down) or mousewheel, with mouse button or number to select"

I haven't tried the Dreamcast mouse on the Dreamcast port to see if the scrollwheel on the Dreamcast mouse works with this (though I'd assume it would).

Though, the virtual keyboard (or an actual Dreamcast keyboard) should work just fine - just select the entry you want with 6 and 7, and use A to select.
