Interface suggestion

I'd like to suggest what I think would be a great interface feature.

When I play ScummVM on my 854x480 Motorola Defy, if I don't stretch the game to fit the screen I get two empty black areas on both sides. There is plenty of space to put at least four customizable buttons with generous size on each side of the game screen.

I'm trying to play Full Throttle but there's a constant need to use the keyboard (keys e,t,i,p,k for eye, tongue, inventory, punch and kick). Sadly bringing up the keyboard for each interaction makes the game unplayable. Having 8 simple customizable buttons would make all the difference.

Would this be possible?

Our official port won't have this until we finish the ScummVM-wide event mapper work (which will also provide per-engine/per-game sets of actions), but we're working on it.

For now, the unofficial SDL port should let you customise the buttons (via the options at the start), I think.
