Ohoy Everyone
I to run The curse of monkey Island game on ScummVM TouchMod port http://forums.scummvm.org/viewtopic.php?t=9644
I press 'choose' on the folder with the necessary data files (COMI.LA0, COMI.LA1, COMI.LA2 and Resource Folder).
It says:
"ScummVM could not find any game in the specified directory!"
Have to say that on the "ScummVM 1.4.0" from the play android (The new Google market) the game works with no problems!
The same thing with this ScummVM-SDL http://anddev.at.ua/load/scummvm_svn55436/1-1-0-7
which also works great.
I also installed the scumm engine which suppose to support Lucas Art's monkey island games.
I will glad for new suggutions and I have to say I am huge fan of Old school games, and monkey island series. Everything is original ofcourse.

ScummVM TouchMod port issue can't find My game

Those ports aren't officially supported. You'll have to contact the author(s).
Having said that, it sounds like you're missing the correct plugin for the SCUMM engine. So maybe uninstall all the packages related to scummvm, install just 2 APKs (the scummvm one and the scumm one) from the same build (touchmod in your case).

By this list http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Engines
it supposed to be the right one I guess.
Anyway I tried what you said, but for no successes I couldn't managed to add the game through the thouchmod ScummVM

TouchMod
Hi guys!
First of all, I'm flattered that someone still uses my TouchMod OK, I think we've got several issues here (I'm just guessing, correct me if I'm wrong):
1. You want to play adventures using ScummVM for Android using a touchpad style of input
2. You installed the official version from Google Play + The SCUMM Engine from Google Play
3. You installed TouchMod
To 1: I just created the TouchMod to promote the touchpad style of cursor movement. In the current official build the style of movement can be toggled between direct movement and touchpad style movement like this:
"The Android version of ScummVM doesn't have an input configuration dialog yet, but as a temporary workaround, touchpad mode can be toggled with the "Mixed AdLib/MIDI mode" checkbox on the MIDI tab in ScummVM's main options dialog. Restart ScummVM after changing it."
(Source: wiki http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Android/Guide)
To 2: As the engines available on Google Play have been compiled against the official version, they are not recognized by TouchMod.
To 3: Therefore - if you still want to use TouchMod - you have to install the engines from the TouchMod pack provided on my Google Code page: http://code.google.com/p/scummvm-androi ... -v0.04.zip
It should be no problem to use the official build alongside with TouchMod, as long as you provide the right engines for both.
Did that help?
Cheers,

Re: TouchMod
That is such an old build that it probably won't work on modern (Android 3+) devices due to changes in Android's package system.das_weezul wrote:To 3: Therefore - if you still want to use TouchMod - you have to install the engines from the TouchMod pack provided on my Google Code page: http://code.google.com/p/scummvm-androi ... -v0.04.zip
