Dreamweb Released As Freeware

Post by Strangerke »

Thanks to the generosity of Creative Reality and Neil Dodwell, the ScummVM team is happy to announce the freeware release of Dreamweb.

This game was originally released in 1994 and is set in a cyberpunk dsytopian city where a bartender named Ryan, has been having some disturbing dreams...

You can find the freeware release for English, French and Spanish on our downloads page.

The ScummVM team would like to make it clear that this game was given a (15) certification at release as it features a disturbing story and violence, and is thus not suitable for children.

if you happen to own an original version not yet available on our download page, please contact us so we can work on making it free too!

Cool!
I read on mobygames that there was a censored and uncensored version. Do you know which is which in the downloads page?
I bet the US version is the censored one...

Very cool, one of the first PC games I bought, and now lots of newcomers can enjoy it too! :)

I do not see DreamWeb listed on the compatibility page. Did someone just forget to add it to the list?

If that one scene with nudity is all that's changed, I think the downloads page has both: The UK English versions should be uncensored, while the US English version is censored.

ScummVM 1.5.0 detects the game fine for me. Assuming, of course, that the DreamWeb engine is enabled in ScummVM (it should be by default) and that the DreamWeb ZIP file has been unpacked.

Does the freeware license also cover the Amiga versions and the Soundtrack?
