First off I want to thank you guys for allowing thousands if not millions of peoples to enjoy classic games without messing around in VM's and dosbox. Back in the day when you could buy a cd filled with 300 shareware games (shovelware I believe they are called) I got a copy of Plague of the Moon. Prolly 1 of the best games on this compilation. Google does not to seem to know much about it either, all I can find are a few threads on "I used to play this game featuring a witch anybody know its name?"
So was wondering if there is any chance that this classic point and click game was coming to ScummVM with filters and other fancy features making all these old (and better) games worth playing again. I know it must take a lot of work and effort to add a game so best to spend the man power on more well know games but would appreciate it if you guys just had a look at it and maybe someday add support for it
As you say, it takes a lot of effort to add a game to ScummVM. In fact, adding support for a single game engine can take years of dedication, (I believe there is still work being done on the SCUMM engine occasionally, even though it was the first engine supported many years back) and therefore will very likely only be done by someone who has a personal interest in seeing the games that use that engine playable in ScummVM. Therefore the ScummVM developers don't really take requests. If someone wants a game supported and has the necessary skills then they can develop the engine themselves, and that is generally how ScummVM works.
