Pepper's Adventures in Time - Is There a Hint Book?

Post by CaptainJei »

I'm playing through Pepper's Adventures in Time for the first time, and I'm wondering if a hint book was ever released. Does anybody know for sure?

What's wrong with a walkthrough?

Maybe he's a collector and wants a complete set?

I'm in the process of playtesting a number of SCI titles in ScummVM, and I'm keeping a particularly close eye on scoring as I play through. Pepper's Adventure's in Time does not tell you in the game or in the documentation what the maximum score is, and none of the walkthroughs I've read seem to know what the maximum score is either.

And it is true that some of the later Sierra hintbooks have a lot of good information on the production of the games, but I see that as a bonus.

Not that I would expect him to reply, but you could ask Mark Seibert, who produced the game if he knows. Two of the designers, Josh Mandel and Lorelei Shannon can be found on Facebook and are usually approachable.

Thanks, Collector. I would hate to bother any of them about this so many years after the fact, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to try.

There is actually a pretty complete walkthrough on Mark Seibert's website ...complete with alternate actions and easter eggs :-)

Replacing it with %27 does work, though.

Looks like that is from a design document.

It's true. An interesting read, nevertheless, but there are a lot of changes from the finished game.
