Yeh, it's a pity. I actually agree with their comments about the canceling. The project did suffer for it's lack of professional looking layout. When I first went to the project page, I was somewhat taken back, and wondered for a while if it might be somebody running a scam. But then I concluded that Inherit the Earth was never a major title, so it was unlikely that a scammer would be basing a bogus sequel on it.

If I was someone not already familiar with the original Inherit the Earth game, I probably would have thought twice before supporting it.

It is a shame, would be nice to see a sequel - however, the video and details provided were pretty basic and certainly didn't create a frenzy.

Hopefully lesson learned and they will try again when they have the fundamentals in place
