No MS-Dos to install the game.

I recieved a CD version of many old quests that I would like to play again, namely: The Dig, Toonstruck (not lucas art's), Full Throttle.

Anyhow, I can't install them for some reason "the system file is not suitable for running MS-Dos and windoes applications" (the file is windows\system32\autoexec.nt)

ScummVM does not recongnize the CD files if the game isn't installed.

Is it because I don't have MS-dos? How can I install games that are for MS-dos? Does Scumm suppose to do that? and how? (again, it doesn't recognize the files).

I read the FAQ and before asking. I just didn't understand it. What does it mean "files to keep"? Why not keep all of them? Are there files that disturb the SCUMM? What do I need to do - copy all these files to the same folder and try running SCUMM on it?

How can I get these instructions (files to keep) for the game Toonstruck, which is not on the ScummVM Documentation list.

First, sorry for the many replies, I just keep remembering things I wanted to ask.

What I mean to ask is how can I find there ScummVM Documentation instructions for games that are not on that list - like space quest 6 or toonstruck.

The Files to keep section is just a hint to save some diskspace. ScummVM doesn't need all files of a game, so you can delete the rest. You don't have to.

Furthermore ScummVM is not an emulator, you cannot run any game with it. Here's the list of currently supported games.

For playing not supported games you could try DOSBox
