Question. How did you get the Spanish version of the first The Legend of Kyrandia in order to grant it official support? Was it also by obtaining the original floppies, or something else?LordHoto wrote:There's an old feature request about that one. But we need a copy of the floppy version to support it. If you want to donate one to _athrxx or me the chances of it getting supported in the near(er) future would be much improved. However, we are both busy in real life at the moment, thus we can't make any promises on when it would happen then.Wesker wrote:ScummVM would have to support even if just the official Spanish version of The Legend of Kyrandia 2: The Hand of Fate. That is, the one that was actually done back in the day and released in floppies.
The problem is, the Spanish version of The Legend of Kyrandia 2: The Hand of Fate is near impossible to obtain, or at least the original floppies are. I have been looking for them for years, but they are rare as hell. I have also done the same with the Spanish floppy version of Lands of Lore, which is in a similar situation (and now, there's also the Eye of the Beholder games, which were also released in floppies and in Spanish), but no luck with this one either. The versions that usually surface are "talkie" CD-ROM versions of the games which are not in Spanish, sadly.
If I understood right, these people in this thread have been talking about some CD-ROM re-releases of the games which contain the original floppy versions on CD (rather than the proper "talkie" versions in other languages I have always noticed). I have never seen them, but if they are really that way, then maybe this about the only real possibility of getting an original non-pirate sample of the game nowadays.
