Soundfont on Mac OS X

Post by PeppeWH »

Hi,
before Snow Leopard in Mac OS X there were three sound drivers: CoreAudio CoreMidi and Quicktime.
The first one was only for hardware midi, Quicktime used the System midi table and CoreAudio worked with sound fonts.
After Snow Leopard Quicktime disappeared and now there are only two drivers CoreAudio and CoreMidi, but CoreAudio works now like Quicktime did and it does NOT load any external soundfont...
How is it possible now to load an external sound font? like fluidsynth in windows and the old CoreAudio?

Use CoreAudio. It definitely loads the SoundFont.

There were modifications to the CoreAudio code in ScummVM between the 1.5.0 and 1.6.0 releases to fix sound fonts loading on recent OS X versions.
