Wich Tablet?

Post by Aran »

Hello everybody,

First, I'am very sorry for my bad english, but its not my native language.
Second, I hope this is the right forum for my question, but I used the search function and didn't find anything.

I want to buy a tablet, and the main reason for this is to play old adventure games on the couch. But i have absolutly no idea what tablet is good and which not and if there are compatibility problems. Maybe sombody can help me here.

- It is important that it is an Windows tablet, because I have some other old adventures wich are not supportet by scummvm but I wish to play them too and for this i need Windows.

- It needs an mico-sd slot, because i have a lot of differnt games and I think i need different mico-sds.

- It also needs an USB-port for a mouse and the possibility for an "type-cover".

- A good batterie / display would be nice.

- It should not be to havy.

- And of course it shouldn't be too expensive.

I know, thats a lot of whises, but I would be very happy if somobdy give me a tipp for a good windows tablet (it don't need a monster gpu/cpu etc.) wich is good for our beloved adventures.

Thanks for any help and sorry again for my bad english :D.

I can't offer specific advice, but if you want to run ScummVM on a Windows Tablet, then you will have to avoid Windows 8 or Windows RT as these are not supported ie. You will need to ensure that your tablet has an x86 processor, not an ARM core and thus Windows RT.

For background, see these threads:

It may be ported in the future, but currently this will not work.
