remap android keys

Post by superkapitan82 »

Hi again.

I wonder is it possible to remap android keys (back, menu and search) for keyboard keys?

Maybe through recompiling scummvm, can anyone suggest anything on this?

I believe there is some people who would like to do this.

Completely possible with a recompilation... but those keys are already used for other functions:

What is the issue here? The mouse control via the touchscreen and a bit of use of the virtual keyboard should be sufficient for all games.... hopefully.

Thank you!

Problem is in Kindle Fire and some other devices holding menu button won't bring up on-screen keyboard, so it's not possible to play Discworld (saving requires f5) or, for example, in Simon the Sorcerer saving requires Enter button, but on-screen keyboard what pop up automatically for some reason misses it (on kindle fire as well).

I think configurable option for that in ScummVM GUI would be much appreciated, I found a number of similar troubles for different devices in this forum with no resolution.

And there is not much use for search/camera button function as right click due to it's possible through touch.

What can I do now? Can I recompile it by myself? Is it difficult?
