Curse of monkey island crash

Hey guys I've been trying to get this game to run for days now but am unable to.
I'm running scummvm 1.5.0 on the galaxy s3. I have copied all the needed files off the cos into a folder and onto my sd card. The game starts fine but starts straight to the pick your difficulty screen(no Intro cutscene) . then as soon as guy brush is in the ship with wally as soon as he goes to talk it crashes. Seems to crash every time someone is going to talk.
Any help please?

Edit: just installed scummvm 1.6 and still the same thing. Also recopied files from the cd into folder then onto phone and still no luck

Please try uninstalling all ScummVM versions and plugin via Settings->Phone - Apps->(All) list.

Click each ScummVM and then choose "Uninstall".

Then please try installing the latest v1.7.0git ScummVM apk and ScummVM-scumm plugin and try CoMI again...

If the bug still occurs, copy the datafiles for CoMI from your phone and then post a file listing of them here with file MD5sums produced by a tool such as http://http://md5summer.org/ or similar. This will allow us to eliminate datafile variant or corruption as the cause of this.

I figured it out. had to get scummvm tools and compress all the audio files (.bun files) and now its working perfectly. music and voices sound really clean to
