Introduction Video for Fate of the Amazon Queen

Hi all. I'm a founder of a project (http://ShowMeDo.com) that is making free tutorial videos - one of our early videos is on 'How to play Flight of the Amazon Queen using ScummVM'.

I don't get so much time to play games now (ShowMeDo takes all of my spare time), but having had to learn how to install it in the past I figured a tutorial on getting up and running would be a good thing. I've used ScummVM on and off for years (mostly for the Indy Jones games).

Unfortunately, after I posted the video to our site I realised that there was some corruption. I've meant to get around to fixing it but never seem to get the time, so I've never announced the video.

Most of our 20 videos are about Python programming and they've been fantastically successful - we've had over 13,000 downloads since January, our most popular videos have had around 2,000 downloads each. People love to be shown how easy it is to 'do something', it seems to be a great way of taking away possible fears that a user might have and teaching new skills.

Possibly the FOTAQ video will be useful to ScummVM for promotion? If someone can fix the audio track, I'd be happy to host the fixed version (all our videos are free), that'd be my way of giving a little back in return for the gameplay I've had from ScummVM.

and it has been live since January. All our videos are encoded as QuickTime 6, playable in QuickTime or the Video Lan Client on all platforms (with Flash to come). The video is 3 minutes 31 second long and 5.8mb in size.

Given that the audio is broken, it isn't useful as it stands for newbies. But, if the audio were fixed, it should give new users a better idea of how easy it is to download and install and add a game (FOTAQ). I also mention a little background and a wikipedia entry in the video. The audio is corrupted between 51 seconds and 1 minute 17, and later the audio and video go out of sync. If fixed, we'll transcode to QuickTime 6 from whatever codecs are used.

If someone is interested in fixing the audio, or making an alternative video, I'd be very happy to host it. If not, I'll have to delete the video as it is too broken to leave up (which'd be a pity).

Here's my attempt at a re-recording. I noticed that VLC skips frames when playing it, but they're all in there (try watching it in MPC or VirtualDub).
