Testing, Testing 1, 2, 3
The testing period ended on July 11, 2014. Thanks to all who helped out!
The forthcoming 1.7.0 release of ScummVM is almost here! This time around, we have a total of five newly supported games:
- Chivalry Is Not Dead
- Mortville Manor
- Return to Ringworld
- The Neverhood
- Voyeur
But before we can release the latest and greatest version of ScummVM, we need help testing out all these new games. Besides the aforementioned new games for this release, the DOS floppy versions of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade and Loom, require testing running with our AdLib emulator. You can always check out which games still need testing on our wiki. There are also a few other old classics on that list that could use another run through.
A daily build is all that is required to get started. If you happen to find any bugs, please report them on the bug tracker. After completing one of the games, please let us know on the forums so we can post the results up on the wiki page. Be sure to follow our guidelines for release testing, which can be found on the wiki as well.
And while you play through these newly supported games, please submit some screenshots!
When reporting whether a game is completable or not, please use this format to make it easier for us to add it to the wiki page.

I could not find info why loom and indy3 need to be tested with Adlib music, but I see changes in Scumm engine regarding this, so it is not a chip emulation change.
Can anyone point me info what has changed, or what improvements/bugs should one be looking for when testing?
EDIT: Nevermind, I found something in the commit logs, NEWS file in git repo had some info.

I believe it must have been just a random glitch since it happened in a location I walked by many times before and after without any problem. But I don't remember which one was it anymore...digitall wrote:mitjak: I don't see any bug filed about that Neverhood Crash on our tracker. Please file one. If you can't be bothered, at least give us details of where the crash occured.

Game: The Neverhood Chronicles
Game Version: ?
ScummVM Version: 1.7.0git7735-gac806a1
Operating System: Windows 8 64bit
Problems: I finished the game and everything works great, I only encountered one crash during the entire gameplay

Tested The Neverhood
Game: The Neverhood
Game Version: Windows/English
ScummVM Version: 1.7.0git7745-g5da1a45
Operating System: Windows XP 32Bit
Game is completable, I noticed a crash that happened while reading the texts in the Hall of Chronicles. It seems to happen only at random, because in the first go - the game crashed while reading the second text. In the next attempt - when trying to reproduce the issue, the game crashed at another text, afterwards I was able to read all the texts...
